This round shaped deep blue Sapphire is cut in my personal 'Hades' design and is part of the 'Disney Villain' Collection.
The material used is a deep blue Umba Sapphire, that shows a spectacular play in light and shadow in the frontal view as well as when tilted, due to the frosted facets placed on the pavilion.The gemstone had a paint like inclusion close to the top of the gem.
The design is particulary developed so that the frosted facets are the main feature of the gemstone, creating a pattern that resembles one of a wheel of spikes, symbolising the afterlife Hades offers, one of torture and continuous pain.
