'Gateway to Hell'
This round shaped spinel is cut in my personal 'Gateway to Hell' design. The piece is cut into a eye clean material, with a tiny inclusion on the edge that can only be seen with a loupe and proper lighting.
The material used is a purple Spinel, that shows a spectacular play in light and shadow.
From the frontal view there is a resemblence to a gate opening up and exploding with dark facets, hence the name of the design. The choice between heaven and hell was made due to the darkness of the material.
